I am writing to advise members that following further talks at ACAS, a final proposal was tabled over Olympic Recognition and Reward for London Underground members. A meeting took place with 150 of your representatives at the end of last week to consult on this offer and the General Grades Committee has decided the following: -

RMT settles Olympics recognition and reward agreement with London Underground

After months of intensive negotiations RMT has reached an agreement that protects existing agreements and allows staff to work within the terms of their existing contracts.

There will also be additional rewards packages of up to £1000 for staff in recognition of the massive additional pressures that will be thrown at the service from the extra three million journeys a day.

Another Complaint about BBC's coverage of Tube strike

Having initially complained to Ofcom and discovered that they don't deal with complaints about the BBC, I have (again) complained to the BBC itself about its inaccurate. Here's my complaint.

Today, the BBC has repeatedly referred to the Tube strike being about 800 job losses 'in ticket offices'. This is inaccurate.
